Last week I had the pleasure of attending the Congressional Black Caucus' Annual Legislative Conference held in Washington, DC. I networked, attended brainstorming sessions and participated in roundtables. This is the time where our Honorable Gentlemen and Women who serve us on the Hill empower and educate us on relevant and current issues directly from the White House.
I met so many wonderful people from all across the country. Many of these individuals serve in the community just like myself. I got inspired all over again to do just what God called me to do and that is to serve disenfranchised women and their families. I brought back tools in my belt to continue building lives of purpose and instilling hope into the hopeless.
It takes a village to build the lives of an entire family and while on this educational trip to DC, I met many family members to make that a reality. I plan on attending next year's conference and I plan on attending the presidential dinner with President Obama.
I pray that I have inspired you to make a difference in your community and let's imagine next year's theme being weLead weServe.

Welcome to my blog!
It has been a long time dream of mine to engage the community in what I am passionate about, the disenfranchised. I look forward to hearing from you.
Thank you!
